Digital Cartography Division

The Digital Cartography Division compiles Electronic Navigational Charts (ENCs) according to the International Hydrographic Organization's specification S57 Ed. 3.1 These charts are suitable for use by all Electronic Chart Display Information Systems (ECDIS). Moreover, they can be used by any navigational system capable of reading and displaying S57 Ed. 3.1 data.

In April 2004 HNHS started the release of the Greek ENCs, as well as, the Updating Services, on a monthly basis, through the Regional ENC Coordinating Centers (RENCs) in Europe.
