The Department of Electronic Charts produces ENCs  in S57 Ed 3.1 vector format, according to the IHO International Hydrographic Organization    specifications. These charts are suitable for using them with ECDIS (Electronic Chart Display Information System), however they can be used by any system which can read data in S57 Ed. 3.1 format.

Since April 2004, HNHS has started the provision of greek ENCs, as well as the monthly updates ( Updating Service ), via the Regional Centers (RENCs).
